Silkscreen and Letterpress Business Cards
We use screen printing to print large solid areas
Letterpress is very old, and beautiful printing technique, but it has some technical imperfections. It is really difficult to cover (flood) a large area with ink. Clients more often want to cover one side all background with ink and the other side of the card to leave white with debossed text – so to produce such design and high-quality product (uniform coating, without paper buckling, etc) only with letterpress is mission impossible – the coating will be uneven and will look badly. But we believe that our mission is to make clients feel happy – so we found a solution – in order to cover large areas of solid color, we have applied a different, more suitable for such work technology – silk screen printing.
These business cards were printed combining two technologies: one side printed in letterpress and the other side in silkscreen techniques. The flooded side is completely flat and matte like paper.
