Laser Cut Duplexed Business Card

When you turn around this letterpress business card in your hand it gives you quite a novel impression. Everything seems clear when you check red side, but when you flip the card over the first idea is – how in the white paper appeared a deep hole with a red object at the bottom? Surprising illusion due to the fact that the edges of the card are absolutely identical shade as the red color of the paper that was printed on, and the inner edge of laser-cut logo is totally white like the white paper. Original idea was to blind deboss contact details on red color paper, but we have convinced our customer to print text with one tone darker red ink, as contacts printed without ink is quite difficult to read, and one tone darker imprint on colorful papers always looks much more impressive. We picked up same thickness white and red color papers. And on red paper we printed with red ink, and on white paper we did a laser cut logo motif, with special laser that do not burn paper and do not leave brown edge. Finally, the red and white sheets were glued together and was painted edge. Four technologies, lots of handwork, and the result is absolutely adorable!
