Project Point & Shoot stories postcard box set covering six years of extremely talented photographer’s Dainius Ščiuka work is more than just pretty pictures. In the series, the artist examines (or rather reflects) contemporary ‘consumption’ of photography where an image spotlights a location, a meal, or a mood conveying the message ‘I HAVE BEEN HERE TOO’. Using a primitive technology – compact camera – the author distances himself from his trade and highlights the now-obsolete distinction between a professional photographer and amateur, as well as the disappearance of photography as an expensive and elite artistic activity.
We printed those boxes on thick 700 gsm red premium paper using letterpress and hot foiling. Creasing is done by using a partial die cut to make the edges of the box look more stylish. It’s a light but hard box it feels really solid and this collectible postcard box set, consisting of 5 boxes, would look really special on any bookshelf.
